Final Year Project - LUSH Prince Charming

For my University Final Year Project, I decided to create a marketing brief to follow, utilising the skills gained over the past three years of my CGI and Visual Effects course. The brief was oriented around the recent LUSH product called ‘Prince Charming. This cosmetic product contains 3 main ingredients: pomegranate, grapefruit and geranium oil. These ingrediants were brought into a studio and photographed at various angles then brought into a Photogrametry processing software called ’Reality Capture’. I wanted to explore the unique and unconventional marketing theme that LUSH likes to incorporate across their shop fronts, wesbite and social media. The use of colour is very important in LUSH, prominent in their vibrant products such as their infamous bath bombs. I wanted to explore these themes within the brief, giving life and a dynamic feel to the project. A video piece was produced along with a few stills to support the project.
These shots above were inspired by studio shoots LUSH have made and posted on social media, using vibrant lights and backdrops.
Each still was rendered in Arnold in 2K squares in order to fit with the Instagram aspect ratio guidelines.
